No not you, the one in the middle.
I took this at the RAD staff party last night, and promised rashly to publish it today, but look, here it is.
The prize for TMAWITW had previously gone to my friend Kerry (who once described a troublesome housemate in our student flatshare crushingly as ‘the tart with a heart of iron pyrites’), or possibly Germaine Greer, with whom I once had a fascinating hour-long conversation about the ‘archness’ of ballet (her term, but she’d forgotten she’d said it) in a bar in Kensington. But since I met my colleague Mukta (centre, left) I think she wins the prize. If I put her and Kerry in the same room, they’d probably solve the crisis in the Middle East. It’s in the nature of staff parties to tell your mates what you think of them, so I did.
I then discovered that Mukta happens to be one of the handful of people internationally who actually reads my blog now and again.
I’m inspired. As it’s the silly season, I think I might do a few more posts featuring my favourite readers….You’ve been warned,
And Jo, I haven’t forgotten, the book is called Discographies, thanks for the tip.
